WordsCat: Dive means plunge into water， esp. headfirst。。记得小时候常常从桥下的桥墩上Dive，怕怕的啊

WordsCat: 那可不是闹着玩的啊，Diving calls for physical and technical ability, 这里有几个关键词呢，

WordsCat: 今天我们来聊聊 Water Polo 吧
Danny: 我觉得 Water Polo 介于 足球和篮球之间呀， Each team consists of seven main players and six replacement players，有主力球员和替补球员
Potato: Right, 另外，This 13-player contains one goalkeeper and maybe a replacement goalkeeper.
WordsCat: ah, 你们知道的挺清楚的啊， 那每支队伍的目标是什么呢？
Potato: It's easy, They try to pass a ball into the other's goal.
Danny: 对，我看这里的重点是 "Pass" ，记得比赛规则中明确规定，球员（除了goalkeeper）不能手持和击打水球
WordsCat: 厉害，是的，不过，更清楚点说是：It's forbidden for players to hold on to the ball with both hands or to strike it with the fist, except in the case of the goalkeeper. 就是说不能同时用双手持球和去击打球，而是Pass the ball。

WordsCat:是的，不过我想如果她不这样做，Maybe her team couldn't achieve the silver medal.

WordsCat: 好了，让我们看看她参加的这个event吧： Relays
Potato: Ok
WordsCat:Relay的本意就是我们常说的 pass something along from one person, group, or station to another.
Potato: 那在接力游泳中，应该是 pass the swimming along from one person to another.
WordsCat: Right, 其实我觉得从Olympic Spirit 的意义上讲，是 Every team passes the Olympic Spirit from one person to another as we relay the Olympic Torch.
Potato: en, ha, the Olympic Torch Relays!
WordsCat: And the sequence followed is Bachstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Freestly.
Poato: 哦，和Individual Medley差不多都把Freestly放在最后了，恩，It's very exicting！
WordsCat: 还有，Relays的关键在于选手的交接 changeover 上，因为这时最容易造成 Disqualification
Potato: 那你知道如何 changeover 吗？
WordsCat: 当然，不过查了点资料，说得更透彻些： The changeover is valid when the feet of the outgoing swimmer depatch from the board at least after 3/100 seconds the fingers of the incoming swimmer touch the wall.
Potato: 哦，好复杂，总结一下就是，手指触壁3/100秒后，下一个运动员才能depatch，否则就是disquanlification
WordsCat: 是的，土豆兄弟很聪明，英语水平很高

WordsCat: 其实造成 invalid 的原因就是 "抢" The swimmer moves too early , it will lead that the whole team is disqualified!

Potato: 你的意思是说， it contains freestly, backstroke, breatstrok, and butterfly stroke?
WordsCat: 是的，不过。。。
Potato: 不过什么？
WordsCat: 不过，是有顺序的，The sequence followed is butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle.
Potato: 恩，体会到了，游泳比赛最后都是freestyle，而且都很spectacular。

Danny: 奇怪，明明是蝶泳，你怎么说象Dophin海豚呢？
WordsCat: 哈，我举个例子啊，Jenny Thompson 赢得了the champion of 100 meter butterfly ， 有介绍说，she didn't kick any once!

WordsCat: 其实也不是没有，就是人家没有刻意去kick， 通过上身带动下身去做的，所以行内都称之为"Body Dolphin"

Danny: Surely，我一开始就学的 Breaststroke。
WordsCat: 书上说，This is a fairly complex swimming style.
Danny: 是的，它要求身体的协调性要好，you lie your face down in the water, 然后 extend your arms in front of your head, then sweep them both back laterly under the surface of the water.
WordsCat: 的确挺复杂的， 那为什么它叫蛙泳呢？
Danny: 因为在你将两臂从侧面回扫时，you are performing a frog kick!就象青蛙一样，这叫"蛙式后蹬"
WordsCat: 我记住了，总结一下就是： 一潜（Lie down）, 二展（Extend），三扫（Sweep），四蹬（Frog Kick）

额外：1. I always lie my face down in the water and hold my breath while washing.

WordsCat: 是啊，不过现在我掌握基本的Backstroke的规则了： It 's a swimming stroke executed with a swimmer lying on his/her back,其实就是大肚肚朝天游泳啊
Danny:我对你也不难，You sleep everyday lying on your back!
WordsCat: 少取笑于我，我还了解到，Backstroke和freestyle非常相似，特别在手脚的动作上，Backstroke resembles freestyle swimming as far as the alternating movements of arms and legs.
Danny: 是啊，你观察挺细致的呢。U must alternate movements of your arms and legs in a harmony!!必须协调一致，同时don't be nervous！

WordsCat:en, 你知道的，知识产权就是 Something tangible or intangible to which its owner has legal title，不管是有形的还是无形的，只要有法律所有权的东西，我们都管，such as copyright, trademark, and patent, etc.
Danny:那和你的专业有什么关系？
WordsCat: 哦，它的主要工作是 handle all the affairs of intellectual property to protect them in China, 我是个intellectual, 有责任和义务去做这样的事情啊
Danny:不错啊，挺好的，不过 You are my tangible property,haha
WordsCat: 错，你还没有领猫证，You don't have a legal title to me!!!!!
Danny: 还没有听说北京要领猫证的。。

Danny: 哦，why?
WordsCat: Because, it is a swimming event in which I may choose any stroke! 可是我现在一种 stroke 也没有学会呢，更别说参加swimming event游泳比赛了。
Danny: 别担心，你可以参加800m Freestyle Event, 我保证你能赢？
WordsCat: 哼，你当我不知道啊，The 800m freestyle event is only for women!
